We finally received our account from UPS late January after a visit from Yee Foo Shien, the E-Commerce Manager for UPS Malaysia to our office on the 19th of January. He did a good job on explaining what we need to get started i.e, some notes on shipping, taxes and the normal stuffs that goes on with shipping items across borders. In my previous post, I mentioned that it seems nobody at UPS return back to my registration at ups.com. Well, somehow its my pc's email system that fails to fetch the follow-up by joseph from ups.com which forwarded my account registration to Kin Lett, the Business Development team here in Malaysia. ... details >>

Mount Santubong, SarawakIts been a busy week, my grandmother passed away last week and a lot of things had to be put on hold a bit. Anyways, we are still working hard to put more stuffs in here and juggling between working on the version 2 of the site (with shopping cart in here), taking pictures, videos, working out shipping quotes with UPS (which mysteriously never came back to me) and working on some other business proposals really tires me down.

We did managed to upload videos for all the beaded purses that we have to youtube and had successfully linked them to this site. We are working on building the necessary contents on crafts and the Malaysian people generally. The Malaysian natives (also referred as 'bumiputra') alone comprised of various ethnics and tribes and they all have their own unique crafts and way of living.

We did found some on blogging sites, flickr and some others which has been in existence for quite awhile but still the contents are rather thin. Previously, several attempts were made to promote Malaysian Batik and Nyonya Kebaya in a large scale. This was primarily done by 'Yayasan Budi Penyayang' through a series of events both locally and internationally. It looks like the effort had died with the death of the late wife of the Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi(as always). ... details >>
